Admission with a secondary-school leaving certificate from a school abroad ("Auslandsschule")

Schools follow the curricula and educational objectives determined by the educational system of a specific country. Schools abroad are not geographically located in the country corresponding to the educational system they are guided by.

Did you attend an international school? You have to indicate the country of issuance of your secondary-school leaving certificate when you apply for admission to a bachelor/diploma programme in u:space. We have listed a selection of schools abroad and non-Austrian secondary-school leaving certificates on this website. The list provides information on the following:

  • which country of issuance you have to indicate
  • which category you have to choose when accessing information on the admission procedure
  • if you need a proof of German language proficiency

You are a citizen of a non-EU/EEA country and need a residence permit for Austria? Information regarding this is available at the responsible Austrian representation (embassy/consulate). You will receive your admission letter that you need for the residence permit in the course of the admission procedure.
