Online-Self-Assessment (OSA)
An OSA is a guidance tool for choosing a degree programme.
Through interactive tasks, you can familiarise yourself with the key content of a degree programme and find out how well it aligns with your interests and expectations. The automated OSA feedback serves as additional resource and supports you in making an informed decision about your future studies.
The requirements for the respective degree programmes were defined by teaching staff and students in collaboration with psychologists at the University of Vienna.
If you are required to complete the OSA as part of an admission/aptitude procedure, or as a mandatory OSA for certain degree programmes:
- Please note down the code displayed at the end of the OSA, or have it sent to you via email. You will need this code for the subsequent steps of the procedure.
- We recommend completing the OSA on a PC, laptop or tablet.
- Please observe the application deadlines for degree programmes with an admission/aptitude procedure.

No. You will not receive an evaluation of your general intelligence or personality, but rather an analysis of your strengths and weaknesses regarding your desired degree programme. The results are based on your own answers and merely reflect the information you provided.
During development, basic standards for web accessibility were taken into account. Keyboard navigation is possible, most content can be read aloud by screen readers, and additional functions for contrast, font size, and subtitles for video and audio are available. We are continuously working on improving accessibility. If you encounter any barriers or technical problems, you can contact us via the contact form.
If you would like to report a barrier, please feel free to send us an email: osa(at)univie.ac.at

For certain bachelor's programmes, the OSA serves as the first stage of the admission/aptitude procedure. You must complete it in full and by the deadline to be eligible for the written test. Upon completion, you can enter your email address to receive your individual OSA code.
If you use a different email address when applying for admission in u:space, you must enter your OSA code manually during the application process in u:space.
