Master programme in Translation
Your steps in the admission procedure depend on whether you have completed your previous degree programme at the University of Vienna or another post-secondary educational institution.
Multilingual degree programme
The languages of instruction in this degree programme are German and at least one more language.
Important information regarding your working languages
You cannot change your working languages after the admission!
Carefully think about which focus you want to chose in your master programme before you submit your application. The possible focuses (only available in German) depend on your choice of A-language and other working languages. The A-language is the language you are most proficient in (usually your first or educational language).

Additional requirements
German language proficiency at level C2
To apply for admission to this degree programme you require German language proficiency at level C2.
Further language requirements
To apply for admission to this degree programme, an additional proof of proficiency in another language is required in addition to your proof of German language proficiency.
