Admission to master programme Astronomy

The prerequisite for admission to a master programme is the completion of a subject-relevant (bachelor) degree programme. On this site you will find information on any additional prerequisites for admission. If your preliminary study programme is considered as fundamentally equal to a subject-relevant degree programme, you will be given stipulations that have to be fulfilled after admission to and at the beginning of your master programme.

Our advice: Thoroughly acquaint yourself about the prerequisites for admission to your chosen master degree at an early stage. Thereby, you have the possibility to fulfil prerequisites during the course of your preliminary studies, for example by completing specific extension curricula ("Erweiterungscurricula" - EC).

If your preliminary study programme is not listed in the Master Access Guide, your application will be checked individually as a decision has to be made on a case-by-case basis.
