African Studies (master's programme)
What is it about?
On the master's programme in African Studies, you will focus on researching and analysing African societies, particularly their history, languages and literatures.
In this two-year master's programme, you can choose from three areas: African Linguistics, African Literature and African History and Societies. The degree programme offers you numerous opportunities to work in an interdisciplinary manner. Topics of interest include sociolinguistics, diaspora studies, gender, colonial history, Afriphone literature, racism studies, urban studies, Pan-Africanism, popular culture and post-colonialism.
