  • The key to using this exchange function is a valid and activated student ID card.
  • With the power bank, smartphones, tablets or notebooks can be charged at any time and as often as necessary.

Mobile devices can be charged at two locations at the University of Vienna during the current test phase:

  • Main building of the Universität of Vienna in the area of the Audimax Passage
  • Juridicum: on the ground floor and 1st basement floor

How does the swapping process work?

The exchange process is simple, straightforward, requires no data and takes less than 30 seconds. Normally, an exchange process costs a maximum of € 2. For students of the University of Vienna, the exchange process with the u:card is free of charge.

How much does the SWITCH Powerbank cost?

The SWITCH Powerbank can be purchased directly from the Powerbank vending machines for € 50 or at an introductory price of € 40 until the end of 2024.
