Supplementary examination

The Admission Office stipulates supplementary examinations to achieve equivalence of secondary-school leaving certificates issued in non-EU/EEA countries with the Austrian Matura secondary-school leaving certificate. If you do not have a proof of your German language proficiency, it also stipulates the supplementary examination in German. You can take the required supplementary examinations before the admission to a degree programme as part of the University Preparation Programme of the Vienna Universities (Vorstudienlehrgang der Wiener Universitäten, VWU). While you attend courses at the VWU, admission to a non-degree programme at the University of Vienna is possible.
