Here you find an overview of all deadlines for the application and admission to bachelor/diploma programmes with an entrance exam procedure.
- Persons wanting to attend the University Preparation Programme of the Vienna Universities (VWU) must meet the VWU deadlines.
- If you are exempted from the entrance exam procedure, other application and admission periods apply.
- For admission to any degree programme with entrance exam procedure, you have to have applied for admission within the application period. This also applies, if the written exam does not take place or if not all study places are allocated.
The application period for degree programmes with entrance exam procedure is over for the academic year 2023/24.
Application period for the academic year 2023/24
Academic year 2023/24
The application period for the academic year 2023/24 is over. You can only be admitted to a bachelor/diploma programme with entrance exam procedure if you have submitted your application in time and meet all the requirements for admission. Information on this website is only valid for the academic year 2023/24.
Information (literature, etc.) for the academic year 2024/25 will be updated starting February 2024.
Admission period winter semester 2023/24
- admission period: after the announcement of results until 31 October 2023
- semester start: 1 Oktober 2023
Admission period summer semester 2024
The admission in the summer semester 2024 is only possible if you have been successful in the entrance exam procedure for the academic year 2023/24. An entrance exam procedure for the summer semester does not take place.
- admission period: from 8 January to 31 March 2024
- semester start: 1 March 2024
Sport Science
The application for admission to the bachelor programme Sport Science is possible each semester. The sporting aptitude admission test takes place twice a year.
Winter semester 2023/24
- Application period: from 1 March to 5 June 2023
- Admission period: after the announcement of results until 31 October 2023
Summer semester 2024
- Application period: from 15 November 2023 to 2 January 2024
- Admission period: after the announcement of results until 31 March 2024
