Master programme in Teacher Education

Your steps in the admission procedure depend on whether you have completed your previous degree programme at the University of Vienna or another post-secondary educational institution.

Previous degree programme

To be admitted to the master programme in Teacher Education for General Secondary Education at the University of Vienna you have to have completed

  • a bachelor programme of at least three years in Teacher Education for General Secondary Education
  • with two teaching subjects.

A change of teaching subjects is only possible, if you have completed a third teaching subject as "Erweiterungsstudium drittes Unterrichtsfach" (only available in German).

 Teacher Education with teaching subject at university of art

Complete the admission procedure and pay the tuition/students' union fee at the university of art. You can then be admitted to your second teaching subject and the pedagogical-practical studies at the University of Vienna.

Send us your current student record sheet and your higher education degree certificate via the Servicedesk. Please fill in "Teacher Education university of art" as topic.
