Master programmes without selection procedure

You can be admitted to a master programme without selection procedure if the following applies to you:

• You have an admission letter for the degree programme of your choice and
• you have successfully completed the supplementary examination in German at the VWU.

Both points apply to you? In this case, proceed as follows:

1. Inform yourself about upcoming admission periods.
2. Merge the certificate of your supplementary examination and the admission letter of the degree programme of your choice into one PDF file.
3. Send the PDF file with the certificate of your supplementary examination and the admission letter via the Servicedesk to the Admission Office, within the admission period of the semester you would like to be admitted in. If you have multiple admission letters, please only send the admission letter of the degree programme you would like to be admitted to.

We will review your data. Afterwards, you will be preliminarily admitted to the degree programme and you will receive information regarding further steps via e-mail. The processing of your request may take several days.

 Admission period

• Winter semester 2023/24: from 10 July to 31 October 2023
• Summer semester 2024: from 8 January to 31 March 2024

Master programme (with entrance exam procedure) in Psychology

If you want to be admitted to the master programme in Psychology you have to participate in the entrance exam procedure. The entrance exam procedure takes places once a year, admission is only possible in the winter semester.

You can register for the entrance exam, after you have successfully completed the supplementary examination in German. To do so, proceed as follows:

• Inform yourself about the registration deadline to participate in the entrance exam.
• Merge the certificate of your supplementary examination and your admission letter into one PDF file.
• Send the PDF file with the certificate of your supplementary examination and the admission letter via the Servicedesk to the Admission Office before the deadline and state that you want to participate in the entrance exam. 

You have successfully participated in the entrance exam of the master programme in Psychology? To complete the admission procedure, you have to confirm that you accept your university place. To do so, write a message via the Servicedesk and request to be admitted to the degree programme.
