Statistics and Data Analytics (master's programme)

On the master's programme in Statistics and Data Analytics, you will gain an in-depth understanding of state-of-the-art statistical methods and data analytics techniques and further develop them. You will be taught by internationally renowned researchers and guided to the very limits of what is currently technically and methodologically feasible in your chosen specialism.
What is it about?
Statistics is an integral part of almost all academic disciplines: from economics and the social sciences, through medicine and biology, to astrophysics and particle physics. On the master's programme in Statistics and Data Analytics, you will acquire a sound understanding of mathematical statistics and decision theory. At the same time, you will explore data analytics, a forward-looking field at the interface of statistics, machine learning and artificial intelligence. You will learn about modern statistical methods and apply mathematical, algorithmic and computer-based techniques to analyse data and solve complex problems. In doing so, you will work with methods that reflect the current state of research.
