Master Access Guide

Do you want to study a master degree at the University of Vienna? The prerequisite for this is the completion of a subject-relevant bachelor or diploma programme or of a degree at a post-secondary educational institution fundamentally equivalent therewith.

In the MAG you’ll learn:

  • which study programmes are definitely considered as subject-relevant or fundamentally equivalent preliminary studies for your chosen degree programme
  • if you need to fulfil any qualitative prerequisites for admission to your chosen degree programme and, if you do, which
  • if you need to fulfil any stipulations after admission to your chosen degree programme and, if you do, which.

If your preliminary study programme is not listed in the Master Access Guide of the respective degree programme, your application will be checked individually as a decision has to be made on a case-by-case basis.

The admission requirements according to university law and the applicable master curriculum are binding.
