Change of master programme

The admission to a master programme is only possible after completing a subject-relevant bachelor or diploma programme in the same or a related discipline. In the Master Access Guide you can find out which bachelor/diploma degree programmes qualify for admission to a specific master programme.

Master programmes with entrance exam procedure

Entrance exam procedures only take place once per academic year (before the winter semester) and are valid for two semesters.

  1. Apply for admission to the degree programme you would like to change to within the application period. Choose the desired degree programme in u:space > Studies > Apply for admission and upload the required documents. Documents that were already confirmed by the Admission Office (status "confirmed") do not need to be uploaded again. Note any potentially required additional proofs. You can find these in the curriculum of your degree programme.
Check the status of your application in u:space under "My application". This status has to be "application submitted".
  2. Complete the entrance exam procedure of the chosen degree programme. The Admission Office will inform you about further steps via e-mail.
